Information meeting each Wednesday at 8.30pm in O'Tooles Pub Aughrim.
An exciting event on the last weekend of June, which will appeal to families, adults and children alike. Our aims include creating business prospects for Ireland, Co. Wicklow and the surrounding areas, showcasing local amenities and produce, adding to a growing sense of local community while providing a platform for musicians from home and abroad.
The Aughrim Music festival will embrace all genres of music from popular and traditional through to classical and jazz as well as providing a range of workshops for all levels of musicianship. The festival is a non-profit event with all committee members giving of their time for free. Any surplus will be used for next year's festival.
Lack of initial funding can be a great obstacle for most festivals, especially new ones. We hope you can see the cultural potential in this project and would love to have on board any new sponsors. There are many other opportunities available through street and stage banners and in our parking and campsite facilities.
